The greatest wealth is health. – Virgil

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.  – World Health Organization, 1948

If you have health, you probably will be happy, and if you have health and happiness, you have all the wealth you need, even if it is not all you want.  – Elbert Hubbard

Grace a stranger with your smile?

Show tangible kindness or generosity?

Uplift another’s accomplishment?

Share beneficial information?

Create something beautiful  . . . or useful  . . . or both?

Demonstrate solid morals and strong values?

Present only your best self?

Pretty is as pretty does.

For Victims, the focus is always on what they don’t want: the problems that seem constantly to multiply in their lives. They don’t want the person, condition, or circumstance they consider their Persecutor, and they don’t want the fear that leads to fight, flee or freeze reactions, either.

Creators, on the other hand, place their focus on what they do want. Doing this, Creators still face and solve problems in the course of creating outcomes they want, but their focus remains fixed on their ultimate vision. – David Emerald

You don’t get in life what you want;

You get in life what you are.

– Les Brown

Well below your ego
There’s a place that doesn’t care
What people say or think or do
It’s very peaceful there

This place is deep inside you
It’s way beneath your skin
The stillness that surrounds you there
Is you without the spin

It’s soul, unspoilt, it’s raw
Untouched by human mind
Affected not by boxes
Or labels of any kind

When you can find your inner peace
Anytime or place
No matter what is happening
You have your own calm space

A written statement of your purpose, a tool for achieving your personal goals; must incorporate your values and dreams; will set a personal standard for your life, and help to keep you inspired and motivated.

I worked on a mission statement while completing the Happy Black Woman Reset Your Life Challenge earlier this year. I don’t think that I ever finished it.

I think I’ll revisit it today.

The most effective way I know to begin with the end in mind is to develop a personal mission statement or philosophy or creed.
