Just by chance, I caught a profile on JJ Hat Center.

It reminded me so much of my grandfathers

. . . and men looking like men.

My, my! Yeah, a well dressed man in a hat is now at the top of my list.

Right there with jazz 🙂

Prom = Spring + Youth.

Soft.

Flirty.

Pretty.

Modest yet modern and figure flattering.

Skip shiny. Skip sparkling. Skip sexy. Skip show stopping.

Be a vision of femininity rather than a side show spectacle.

Enjoy!

I am participating in a new challenge.

The Pretty Girls Rock Dresses Challenge (see below).

And I encourage every woman who reads this blog to take part.

We need you. The more ladies, the prettier!

Be the change you want to see in the world. – Mahatma Gandhi

The impression of femininity is infinitely more effective at altering perceptions than any fight, struggle, or argument will ever be. And that is simply because fights, struggles, and arguments are masculine action.

Participate at your own level of comfort. You don’t have to go all out.

Share the experience with friends. It’ll be a lot more fun.

The point is to “bring back *GLAMOUR. *GRACE. *CHARM. *FEMININTY. *PRISSYness and most of all BEAUTY.”

A new challenge just in time for spring!

Created by: Dearroka Winfrey

Mission:

1. We will rock dresses (skirts) and cute shoes (heels or flats) like our mothers and grandmothers at least THREE (3) days a week.

2. We will reject the impulse to throw on jeans, jogging suits (even the cute kind), and dress slacks.

3. We will exchange our revelations and thoughts throughout this challenge.

4. We will invite our friends to join.

5. We will include our daughters and the young women we mentor.

6. We will take pictures and have FUN!!!!

7. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Exceptions: Flattering/Very Feminine Dress Suits are ALLOWED.

*If you have a blog share with your followers.

The fun begins March 1st.

You know you wanna do it 🙂

I’m officially on the hunt for this year’s table setting and decorations.

Loving these ideas so far!
